Dr. Roy Carlson obtained his undergraduate degree and Medical Degree at Yale University in New Haven, CT. He stayed to complete his Otolaryngology residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital and then moved to South Jersey in 1985 to practice ENT. He has a long-standing relationship with Virtua Memorial Hospital and currently serves as Chief of the Otolaryngology Section. He provides comprehensive ENT medical and surgical care to patients of all ages with particular interests in pediatric ENT and in the singing voice.

Dr. Carlson’s main interests when he is not in the office include reading, learning foreign languages and music. He has sung in music groups and church choirs for many years, including singing at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., St. John’s College at Cambridge University and Westminster Abbey in London. He studied voice for many years which helps him understand the vocal concerns of other singers.

Dr. Carlson’s patients frequently state that he is caring, efficient and attentive to their unique ear, nose and throat health concerns.
