Janet Parker, APN, received her nursing diploma from the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and her bachelor’s degree from the College of Notre Dame in Baltimore. After working for several years as a critical care nurse at the University of Maryland Hospital, Parker studied perfusion technology at the Texas Heart Institute in Houston.  She subsequently ran the heart-lung machine in the operating room at Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Browns Mills, New Jersey before her return to nursing. Ms. Parker received her Master of Science in Nursing from The College of New Jersey and is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She also works part-time as a certified diabetes educator with outpatients at Cooper University Hospital in Camden.

Ms. Parker loves to travel and has participated in medical missions to Guatemala, Haiti and Ghana. She spent one month studying Spanish in Bogota, Colombia and another month backpacking 500 miles across northern Spain. She lives in Camden where she is a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church. Her favorite leisure time activity is scrambling up walls at Go Vertical rock gym in Philadelphia.
